EB #38-19 – To rescind portions of EB Motion #07-16
Motion by Deb Krsnich, NC Regional Director and seconded by Michele Clubb, Secretary, to rescind portions of EB Motion #07-16.
Rescind:
6.3 – The club will notify the Regional Director of the region they reside in within ten (10) days of receiving an approved EAF from their Regional Director and will notify all clubs of both regions per USCA policy a minimum of twenty-one (21) days in advance of the event with a flier and entry form
6.4 – The club and Regional Director will check with the Regional Director of the region the club is physical located within before issuing any event authorization to avoid conflict with adjoin Regional Events.
All other criteria in EB Motion #07-16 is still in effect and to be followed by all clubs and Regional Directors.
Background:
EB Motion #07-16 set guidelines that clubs must follow if they receive “Special Exceptions” to belong to a region other than their geographical region. This has caused a lot of confusion and the guidelines are not always being followed which is hindering clubs who follow the guidelines or are in their geographical region.
Currently if a club has received permission to change regions it must not only make the required request for EAF through the current region but also obtain approval from the OLD region where it geographically resides. This has resulted in delays and refusal and is unfairly punitive to the clubs, who have to abide by specific time limits. It has also not been equally enforced and new directors and clubs are unaware of those clubs that have changed regions.
