Approve changes to the USCA Breed Survey Rules
EB Ballot # 21-19
EB Ballot # 21-19 Approve changes to the USCA Breed Survey Rules
Motion by Heidi Theis, NBW on behalf of the BAC, and seconded by Michele Clubb, Secretary to approve changes to the USCA Breed Survey Rules.
Background:
January 1, 2019 has brought the new rule changes from IPO to IGP.
The BAC voted to update the wording of the USCA Breed Survey rules to reflect these changes.
USCA/SV Breed Survey. The WUSV/SV allows IGP 1 for our USCA/SV Breed Survey so we need to update our USCA/SV Breed Survey regulations to allow IGP 1 to be in compliance with the WUSV.
USCA Breed Survey. The WUSV permits our organization to create stricter than their requirements for our USCA only breed survey. Currently our USCA Breed Survey states a dog must have IPO 1 to enter our USCA Breed Survey and this is our requirement. If our members only do IGP 1, they are not currently permitted to enter our USCA Breed Survey per our USCA Breed Survey regulations until they successfully completed IPO 1. These proposed changes gives our members the option to enter our USCA Breed Survey once they have earned IGP 2 or IGP 3 without having to do IPO 1 if they do not want to do so. I feel that we need to give our members this option versus only forcing them to do IPO 1 as our USCA Breed Survey regulations currently state.
