EB Ballot #04-25 – Approve $5,000 to the USCA Helper Committee to start a championship level helper seminar per region for the next two years

Motion by Don Yelle, NEW RD and Co-Chair of Helper Committee, and seconded by Nathaniel Roque, DOJ, to approve $5,000 to the USCA Helper Committee to start a championship level helper seminar per region for the next two years.

Background: These seminars are to develop national-level helpers around the country because it’s time- and cost-prohibitive for many to travel to the nationals. These seminars will be for any current helper classified to work a championship or any helper who wants to work a championship in the future. The helper committee will send one ( maybe two if it’s feasible) helper committee members to each event per region and invite any teaching helpers from the region. The helper committee would need help from each region to promote the event and to find a suitable host club. The helper committee does not want the host club to incur any financial burden from these events.  The helper committee would like to get to the regions and get some exposure for up-and-coming helpers as well as help further educate the championship-level classified helpers in their respective regions. This $5,000 will allow the helper committee to complete 2 or 3 of three seminars this spring. Thank you all for your consideration..
