We had 9 WPO entries and the we would like to thank
Pam and Gary Hanrahan and the Jefferson-St. Clair County Schutzhund
Association's for there help... This club did an unbelievable job...
With 150 entries both sport and police this will clearly be a record
that will go untouched.
The weather was a little cool but great for the
dogs, until closing ceremonies and then the rain came.... We would
like to congratulate all the Police dogs that entered. These dogs all
work the street and also compete at this event.. Being both a handler
and trainer this is not easy...It takes a lot of time and work..
Our Judge.. Ulrich Gerling Police officer for 25
years and Police service judge for 13 years. He is a police dog
instructor in his Country PD Called Furstenfeldbruck, which is located
near Munich. Uli was the 1999 IDM champion which is the World
Championship for Police dogs held in Germany and also the 1999 WPO/SchH
3 Championship held in Reno, Nevada.
We would like to thank ULI for taking the time from
his family and department to come to the United States for our police
dogs.
Being the Chairman of this committee I would like
to continued to keep everyone advised of all events and we are in the
process of updating the rules and eligibility for this program...
Please if you know anyone that is interested in our DPO program please
have them contact myself or the members of this committee or
Schutzhund USA.
Thanks and everyone keep safe,
Mike Andrel, Chairman USA-K9 |
